About us the Bronze

this site | is so suck | it should be | going somewhere | and when it gets there | lie down | and die

Who are us?

We the Bronze are a quartet...like the four wise men . We've all been making wonderful music for many years in different groups of other people or not other people just us. The Bronze has been officially together since October 2003ish but i think we always knew it was there it just wasn't time yet. Well fuckers, that time is NOW. As you are reading this bullshit the Bronze are busy forming their rock into a masterpeice worthy of going down in history with that song St Elmos Fire. With only a few shows behind us, we have yet to reach any of the goals that we set out to achieve. We are very depressed. Our sound is heavy and angry and depressingly uplifting. If we were to be forced to compare our sound we would tell you we sound like that stuff that's on that thing there...right guys? We've been compared to Tool and Genesis (by the same person...at the same time...unpossiblie).

pretty colours

Here's a run down of the shows we've played

Jan.9th 2004 @ Cafe Dekcuf w/Ground Level Defied and Econoclast
This was our very first show. We were first up and we rocked but not quite as hard as we should have. We were pretty sloppy but very well received by our friends...hmmm? This is also when we got our first sniff of the almighty dollar and it went straight to our heads.....we got greedy....got some hoes and an 8-ball.

Feb.22nd 2004 @ Bumpers w/Rudiger's Tank  and some guy
Even though everyone left once we went on we didn't let that bring us down. A far more energetic show than our first. Joe broke one of Adam's bass strings in one of the songs he plays bass in showing how amazing this bastards can rock (or atleast make it seem like it). Tim got out from behind his drums and sang an old P.i. song while Leigh added his own ass sweat to the drum stool.  It was sadly the last time any of us would play Bumpers with it closing a few days later. Many good times were had at this dank hole. Best moment at Bumper's : seeing that guy in that band that was bad count in one of their songs...it was GOLDEN! Tim and Leigh you know who I'm talking about....what were they called? It was french i know that much. You gotta be excited by now faithful readers.

Mar.20th 2004 @ Barrymore's w/Seismic featuring Teen Massacre
Pretty damn good turnout. We the Bronze played loudly and fairly tight. We did a few 80s covers  and put on silly makeup to fit in with the 80'sness of Teen Massacre. We looked hot but the crowd was mostly full of pussies so they suck. It was however the first appearance of the Bronze Bullies moshin it up.  You make us proud like mothers.  The film, Teen Massacre, was the main attraction of the glorious evening and it didn't disappoint. Very bloody, very low-budget effects, screaming, chuckles, a little bit of love and of course Joe and voila....MASTERPIECE!! Timmy did the double header playing with Seismic first then with us the Bronze. He was sick from being in coldness in Montreal but still found it in him to rock like a hurricane. Once the music and film were done we got our groove on. Then glasses and bottles were broken over heads and faces and people were thrown out. Strange ending to the evening. None of the Bronze were hurt but Joe got blood on him that may have contained germs. Adam was safe at the zoo performing hip replacement surgery on a walrus.

June14th 2004 @ Zaphods w/ the Dunes + Adrienne Pierce + The Lowbellies
"ASS" ..... worst show in the huge history of us, The Bronze.  Sorry to those few lovely lovelies who came out for a fun old time and got a massive pile of shit....FOR FREE!!.We were pretty SUCK but adam had a great time dancing up a storm.  Stallion part 3 by Ween was the high point....the rest was the low point.  We didnt get paid for this one and it felt right that way.  We should have paid the precious few who were there for wasting their fleeting time.

June24th 2004 @ Cafe Dekcuf w/ Comfort Station  and not Wax?
Wax Mannequin broke down in Kingston with the skinniest of D's. We rocked all the bitches and hoes whether they liked it or not.

DEc 23rd 2004 @ Cafe Dekcuf w/ Diamondback & Signal House Cafe Dekcuf....again. We'll be back some time.....but not any time soon. Before the show snow made its way into LEigh's guitar amp. When we plugged in for sound check the bastard started to smoke(not leigh....the amp...leigh doesn't smoke and nor should you stupid.ca) Luckily our good buddy Dan from Signal House had a spare Marshall Stack to lend Leigh and everything was honky dorey. I had a babysitter whos name was Dorrie. I peed on her floor and Leigh laughed but dorrie didnt. Anyway, we had a good ol' time getting festive and playing music. We almost broke up on stage when we fucked up a song but a little spazz by baby Newts and we were well on our way to a happy ending! Our cover of Sesame Street's Capital I was the obvious crowd favourite as they were thanking god when it ended.  We sold zero of our new old demo CD's but atleast people know they exist.

there were a couple more but damn i got lazy and i also think this hole smells so its almost time to sew this smelly hole shut
